Paskii's escrow system ensures that payment is secured before any task begins and is only released to the Tasker after the Customer confirms satisfactory completion. Neither party can access the funds until the agreed conditions are met.

1. WHAT IS PASKII ESCROW?

Paskii Escrow is a secure payment holding service built into the Paskii platform. When a Customer accepts a Tasker's bid and confirms a task, the agreed payment amount is transferred from the Customer's wallet or payment method into a protected escrow account managed by Paskii Technologies Ltd.

The funds remain in escrow until one of the following occurs:

  • The Customer confirms the task has been completed to their satisfaction — funds are released to the Tasker.
  • A dispute is raised and resolved in the Tasker's favour — funds are released to the Tasker.
  • A dispute is raised and resolved in the Customer's favour — funds are returned to the Customer.
  • The task is cancelled under eligible conditions — funds are returned per the cancellation policy.

2. HOW ESCROW WORKS — STEP BY STEP

  • Step 1 — Task Posted: Customer posts a task with a stated budget.
  • Step 2 — Bid Accepted: Customer reviews bids and accepts one from a verified Tasker.
  • Step 3 — Escrow Funded: Customer funds the escrow with the agreed amount. The Tasker is notified that payment is secured.
  • Step 4 — Task Executed: Tasker completes the work. Customer can track progress in real time.
  • Step 5 — Confirmation: Customer confirms completion in the app. Funds are released to the Tasker's Paskii wallet immediately.
  • Step 6 — Withdrawal: Tasker can withdraw earnings to their linked bank account at any time.

3. FUNDING ESCROW

Customers may fund escrow using:

  • Their Paskii wallet balance
  • Debit or credit card (via Paystack or Flutterwave)
  • Bank transfer to the Paskii virtual account

Escrow funds are held in a dedicated account separate from Paskii's operating funds. Paskii does not earn interest on escrow balances.

4. RELEASING ESCROW FUNDS

Funds are released to the Tasker only when the Customer explicitly confirms task completion via the "Confirm Completion" button in the app. Paskii will not release funds based on verbal or off-platform confirmation.

If a Customer fails to confirm or dispute within 72 hours of the Tasker marking the task as complete, Paskii reserves the right to auto-release the funds to the Tasker after sending a notification to the Customer.

5. DISPUTES

If a Customer is unsatisfied with the work, they must raise a dispute within 48 hours of the Tasker marking the task complete. To raise a dispute:

  • Go to the task in the app and tap "Raise a Dispute".
  • Provide a clear description of the issue and supporting evidence (photos, messages).
  • Paskii's support team will review the dispute within 3–5 business days.

During an active dispute, escrow funds are frozen and neither party can access them. Paskii's decision following a dispute review is final and binding.

6. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Escrow refunds are available under the following conditions:

  • Before task starts: Full refund to Customer if cancelled before the Tasker has begun work.
  • After task starts: Partial refund may apply based on work completed, at Paskii's discretion.
  • Tasker no-show: Full refund to Customer if the Tasker fails to show up without prior notice.
  • Mutual cancellation: Full refund to Customer if both parties agree to cancel before work begins.

Refunds are returned to the Customer's Paskii wallet within 24 hours of approval. Withdrawal to a bank account may take an additional 1–3 business days.

7. PASKII'S ROLE

Paskii acts solely as an escrow agent and intermediary. We are not a party to the service agreement between Customer and Tasker. We do not guarantee the quality of work performed, but we do guarantee that funds will be handled fairly and in accordance with these terms.

8. FEES

Paskii charges a platform service fee on each successfully completed transaction. This fee is deducted from the escrow amount before release to the Tasker. The current fee structure is displayed at the time of task confirmation and is subject to change with 14 days' notice.

9. PROHIBITED USE

The following are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension:

  • Attempting to transact outside the Paskii escrow system ("off-platform payments")
  • Fraudulent dispute claims
  • Using escrow to launder funds or conduct illegal transactions
  • Colluding with another user to manipulate escrow outcomes

10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Paskii may update these Escrow Terms at any time. Continued use of the escrow feature after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
