This Policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Service and should be read together with them.

This Policy is issued in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA).

3. DEFINITIONS

For consistency with the Terms of Service:

  • “Platform” means the Paskii application, website, and related services.
  • “Users” include both Consumers (service requesters) and Taskers (independent service providers).
  • “Services” refer to the marketplace facilitation services provided by Paskii.

4. PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

4.1 Identity & Verification Data

To enhance safety, platform integrity, and fraud prevention, all Users (including Consumers and Taskers) may be required to undergo identity verification. Such data may include:

  • full name and date of birth;
  • National Identification Number (NIN);
  • Bank Verification Number (BVN);
  • government-issued identification (e.g., passport, driver’s licence);
  • verification results and status; and
  • any additional information reasonably required for compliance, fraud prevention, or regulatory purposes.

Paskii reserves the right to request verification at any stage of the user lifecycle, and may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that fail to satisfy verification requirements.

4.2 Contact Data

4.3 Account Data

  • username and login credentials;
  • profile details, preferences, and user-generated information;
  • account activity and settings.

4.4 Transaction & Escrow Data

  • transaction records between Users;
  • payment confirmations and status;
  • escrow funding, release, and dispute records (as described in Clause 5 of the Terms of Service);
  • commission deductions and payout records (where applicable).

4.5 Technical & Usage Data

  • IP address;
  • device type, operating system, and browser information;
  • log data, session activity, and interaction metrics;
  • error reports and diagnostic data.

4.6 Communications Data

  • messages exchanged between Users through the Platform;
  • customer support communications;
  • feedback, complaints, and dispute-related communications.

4.7 Location Data

We may collect and process real-time or task-based location data from Taskers during service delivery for purposes including:

  • facilitating task completion;
  • enhancing user safety;
  • preventing fraud or disputes.

Location data is processed on the basis of:

  • performance of contract; and/or
  • legitimate interests in maintaining platform integrity and safety; and, where required under applicable law, your explicit consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.

We do not collect personal data beyond what is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy.

5. HOW WE COLLECT DATA

We collect personal data through:

  • account registration and onboarding;
  • identity verification processes (Clause 4, Terms of Service);
  • transactions conducted through the Platform (Clause 5, Terms of Service);
  • communications between Users;
  • cookies and tracking technologies; and
  • third-party service providers.

6. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We process personal data on the following lawful bases:

6.1 Performance of Contract: To provide the Platform and facilitate transactions between Users under the Terms of Service.

6.2 Legal Obligation: To comply with KYC/AML, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements.

6.3 Legitimate Interests: To improve platform functionality, enforce our Terms of Service, and ensure platform integrity.

6.4 Consent: Where required, including marketing communications and optional features.

7. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage User accounts;
  • facilitate escrow payments and transactions (Clause 5, Terms of Service);
  • verify identity and prevent fraud (Clause 4, Terms of Service);
  • enforce platform rules and prevent prohibited conduct (Clause 6, Terms of Service);
  • provide customer support and dispute resolution assistance (Clause 10, Terms of Service);
  • improve platform performance and security; and
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

8. DATA SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We may share personal data with:

8.1 Service Providers

  • Payment processors (for escrow services)
  • Identity verification providers
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers

8.2 Other Users

Limited data necessary to facilitate transactions between Consumers and Taskers.

8.3 Regulatory Authorities

8.4 Corporate Transactions

In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring.
